Fourteen Swiss lathes in a Garland, Texas shop turn every part in-house, down to the screws, in the same shop that machines aerospace and defense parts. The signature grip pattern is cut in thousandths of an inch so it holds without biting, and the bolt mechanism comes apart to be serviced rather than sealed shut. Takes common refills, so it never becomes junk for want of a cartridge.
